UK inflation rate drops to 10.5% in December 2022
The consumer prices index (CPI) measure of inflation fell from 10.7% to 10.5% in December 2022, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The retail prices index (RPI) was 13.4% in December 2022.
Although inflation has dropped slightly, it is still in double digits and a long way from its August 2020 figure of 0.2%.
